  • 1/12/2022 I am exited to start a new position as an R&D Software Engineer in Leica Geosystems part of Hexagon.

  • 28/10/2022 My PhD thesis titled “Problems on Planar Voronoi Diagrams” is published. You can download it here.

  • 15/10/2022 The paper “On selecting a fraction of leaves with disjoint neighborhoods in a plane tree” has been published.

  • 14/3/2022 Our paper “Subdivision Methods for Sum-Of-Distances Problems: Fermat-Weber Point, n-Ellipses and the Min-Sum Cluster Voronoi Diagram” got accepted in the “38th International Symposium on Computational Geometry: Media Exposition” taking place in Berlin, Germany.

  • 18/1/2022 I joined the Hellenic Army for 9 months to fullfil my military obligations, compulsory for all Greek nationals.

  • 12/1/2022 I successfully defended my PhD dissertation titled “Problems on Planar Voronoi Diagrams”.

  • 24/11/2021 Great news! My dissertation defense has been scheduled to take place on Wednesday 12/1/2022 at 10:30 (UTC +01:00). It is open for any to attend both in person (USI Campus EST, room D1.13) and online (MS teams link). More details can be found here.

  • 6-10/9/2021 I (virtually) attended the “9th European Symposium on Algorithms” (part of ALGO 2021) taking place in Lisbon, Portugal, and I presented our paper “The Voronoi Diagram of Rotating Rays with applications to Floodlight Illumination”. Our paper “Certified Approximation Algorithms for the Fermat Point and n-Ellipses” was also presented there.

  • 5-7/7/2021 I (virtually) attended the “XIX Spanish Meeting on Computational Geometry” taking place in Madrid, Spain, and I presented our papers “The Voronoi Diagram of Rotating Rays with applications to Floodlight Illumination” and “New Variants of Perfect Non-crossing Matchings”.

  • 23/6/2021 Our papers “The Voronoi Diagram of Rotating Rays with applications to Floodlight Illumination” and “Certified Approximation Algorithms for the Fermat Point and n-Ellipses” got accepted in the “29th European Symposium on Algorithms” taking place in Lisbon, Portugal.

  • 7-11/6/2021 I (virtually) attended the “Computational Geometry Week 2021” taking place in Buffalo, USA.

  • 11-13/2/2021 I (virtually) attended the “7th International Conference on Algorithms and Discrete Applied Mathematics” taking place in Ropar, India, and I presented our paper “New Variants of Perfect Non-crossing Matchings”. My presentation received the Springer Best Student Presentation Award.
